Set Up Direct Deposit

Enable Direct Deposits to regularly and automatically deposit your paycheck to your Cash App using your account and routing number or by getting a direct deposit form and providing it directly to your employer/depositor.


To enable Direct Deposits you must first order a Cash Card to enable direct deposits. Once enabled, you can receive up to $25,000 per direct deposit, and up to $50,000 in a 24-hour period. For sponsored account direct deposit limits, see Features and Limits for Sponsored Accounts

If you do not receive your direct deposit account details immediately after ordering, you may need to wait until your physical Cash Card arrives and activate it.

To use your account and routing number:

  1. Tap the Money tab on your Cash App home screen

  2. Tap the routing and account number below your balance

  3. Use the options to copy your account and routing numbers

  4. Provide the account and routing number when prompted for a bank account during direct deposit setup with your employer/employer

To create a direct deposit form in-app:

  1. Tap the Money tab on your Cash App home screen

  2. Tap Direct Deposit

  3. Select "Create a pre-filled form"

  4. Fill out your employer information, the amount you would like to be deposited from each paycheck, and provide your signature

  5. Confirm your email and complete the form

To create a direct deposit form on a computer:

  1. Log into your Cash App account at cash.app/account

  2. On the left, open the Money tab

  3. Under Direct deposit, choose Set up direct deposit

Once finished, a completed form will be emailed to you. Your completed direct deposit form can also be viewed at any time.

  1. Tap the Money tab on your Cash App home screen

  2. Tap “Set up Direct Deposit”

  3.  Select “View Previous Form”
