Direct Deposit Timing


In most cases we make direct deposits available as soon as they are received, which can be up to two days earlier than many other banks. The timing of your deposit can vary depending on when they are submitted. Typically, funds are available within 1-3 business days once they are sent.

Certain benefits like Social Security, SSI, and Veterans Assistance follow specific schedules. If the payment date falls on a federal holiday or weekend, your payment will arrive on the preceding business day. Below is a look at the Social Security Payout calendar. There are a few common reasons why you may experience delays in receiving your direct deposit:

  • Incorrect Information: Your employer/depositor  may have entered the incorrect details while processing payroll, such as the date or account information. 

  • Submission Timing: Your employer/depositor might have submitted the direct reposit request after business hours or missed the submission deadline.

  • Bank Holidays: These can lead to longer processing times. 


If you haven't received your direct deposit after 5 business days after the deposit was sent and have already checked with your employer or issuing agency, please reach out to us at cash.app/support with the amount, time, and date the deposit was sent. Please note that support agents cannot view pending direct deposits, as this is standard across all banks due to the way the banking system is set up.
