Verifying Changes Made to your Investing Account
If you have previously made updates to your Cash App Investing account through the B-Notice process, we may request supporting documents to verify these changes.
Why do I need to provide additional documents?
When specific updates are made to your Cash App Investing account, we’re required to collect supporting documents to meet government and industry regulations. Once you provide additional documents, we work to verify the information provided.
What type of updates need to be verified by Cash App Investing?
Updates that can trigger the verification process include:
Updates to the Social Security Number (SSN) associated with the Cash App Investing account
Updates to the legal name associated with the Cash App Investing account (due to marital or nonmarital reasons)
What happens if I don’t provide these documents?
Without these documents, we won’t be able to verify the changes made to your account, and we may take steps to close or restrict your Investing account.
How do I know if my account information needs to be verified?
You’ll receive a notice from Cash App Investing informing you that we require further documentation to verify changes made to your account.
