Sponsor Controls and Visibility for Sponsored Accounts
Controls and Visibility
Sponsors can review all linked sponsored accounts in the Family section, located in the Money tab. Sponsors can receive real-time notifications of their sponsored account’s transaction activity and manage cards, or turn Investing (stocks) features on/off. Balance details, including savings, stock, and bitcoin, are also easily viewable by selecting the appropriate sponsored account within this section.
Sponsored Account Statements
As the legal owner of the account, sponsors can track a sponsored account’s activity from their app in real-time, or in their monthly statements.
In-app:
Go to the Money tab in the bottom left corner
Select Family
Choose the account you’d like to view
Select See All to view their complete transaction history
Online:
Log into cash.app on a desktop computer
From the Activity page, click Statements and choose the month
Scroll down to the Authorized Accounts section
Sponsors can enable or disable real-time notifications for their sponsored account’s activity.
Go to the Money tab
Select Family
Choose the sponsored account
Select Notifications
Toggle Notifications on/off
Note: To manage the way these notifications are received, visit your account settings.
Sponsors can enable or disable their sponsored account’s access to the Cash App Card and other features under the Controls and Limits section of the Family Hub.
Open the Money Tab
Select Family
Select Controls and Limits
Note Disabling the ability to send or receive money will not affect payments sent (or received) between you and your sponsored account, including recurring allowance payments.
Sponsors can also reach out to Cash App’s Support team to disable the sponsored account’s Cash App Card, or terminate their Cash App Card and Direct Deposit, and cancel sponsorship.
Managing Sponsored Accounts
Once a sponsored account is approved, sponsors can view and interact with their sponsored accounts in the Family section.
For sponsored accounts, the Family page will show their sponsor. From the Family page, one can request sponsorship, or request funds from their sponsor.
Disputes and Sponsored Accounts
If a sponsored account needs to dispute a payment or transaction, the customer or their sponsor can reach out to Cash App’s Support team to open a dispute claim. To learn more about how to open a dispute, read more here.
