Dispute a Peer-to-Peer Payment

How do I check the status of a dispute?
You will receive an in-app notification, email, and an updated status in the dispute details in your Cash App when we have an update on your dispute. You can view that information in your Cash App by following these steps:
Go to the Activity icon
Select the payment being disputed
Select the payment status for more dispute details
Investigation Timeline
Once you submit a dispute, our team will investigate your claim and reach out with an update via email and a notification in the app within 10 business days (14 calendar days).
When your claim is finalized, we will notify you of the result via email and a notification in your app.
If you submit a re-dispute for a dispute that was previously lost or denied, then you’ll receive an update via email and notification in the app within 45 calendar days from the date you submitted the appeal.
How do I cancel a dispute?
To cancel a dispute, contact our support team through your app or by calling 1 (800) 969-1940. They will assist you throughout the process.
