Cash App may also include a spread on the Conversion Rate you are quoted for bitcoin trades on our platform. We may make use of a spread (i.e. a mark-up or mark down in price) in order to reduce price volatility and maintain our service. Depending on market conditions, the spread may be anywhere between 0% and 1%. Any spread will be included in the price displayed on the confirmation screen before you complete your transaction.

A spread is not applied to the Conversion Rate for Paid in Bitcoin orders or Auto Invest, Roundups, or custom orders (when you set up your account to buy bitcoin at a certain price). There is also no spread on Square Bitcoin Conversions.

Bitcoin Withdrawal Fees

When you withdraw bitcoin from Cash App to a different wallet, you are able to choose a speed of Standard, Rush, or Priority. If Cash App charges a withdrawal fee, it will be shown on the transaction confirmation screen before you complete your transaction. Withdrawal fees are calculated at the time an order is placed and are based on the speed of the transfer you select. These fees are:

Withdrawal Speed Selected

Fees

Priority - 10 minutes or less

Pro Rata fee* + an additional fee of up to $3

Rush - 2 hours or less

Pro Rata fee* + an additional fee of up to $2

Standard - 24 hours or less

(minimum withdrawal of 100,000 Satoshis)

Free

*Pro Rata fees for Priority and Rush withdrawal speeds are calculated based on estimated network transaction fees at the time of your transaction and may fluctuate. A network transaction fee is a payment made to miners for adding bitcoin transfers to the blockchain. Cash App pays network transactions fees on your behalf with the fees charged to you at the time of the transaction.  These fees can be impacted by your chosen withdrawal speed, blockchain congestion, and the specifics of each transaction. Blockchain congestion varies depending on how many people are trying to make transfers on the Bitcoin Network and can result in increased fees at certain times. The actual network fees that Cash App pays may differ from the estimated network fees for your transaction, and at times Cash App may charge you more than the estimated network fees for your transaction to account for periods of volatility and ensure transaction fees are fully paid.  All transaction fees will be displayed on the transaction confirmation screen before you complete your transaction.

** For these fees, Cash App uses banker’s rounding to round up or down to the penny, as applicable.  Unlike traditional rounding, banker’s rounding rounds numbers ending in 5 to the nearest even integer.
