Cash App Pay
Cash App Pay allows Cash App customers to pay merchants by scanning a simple QR code. Available for use with both In-Person and Online Merchants, this contactless payment method is fast, easy, and simple. To see an example of a Square Online Seller offering the Cash App Pay feature, check out our very own Cash by Cash App store. At this time, Cash App Pay transactions are not included on a customer's Cash App account statement, but will display in a customer's Activity feed.

Where do Cash App Pay funds come from?
Customers are not required to have a linked bank account to use Cash App Pay. Funds for payment come from a customer's Cash App balance. If there are insufficient funds in the Cash App balance, a customer's linked debit card will instead fund the entire purchase. If there are no linked payment sources and the Cash App balance doesn't cover the cost of the transaction, the payment will be declined.
How to request a Cash App Pay Refund
Customers seeking a refund for their Cash App Pay payment must request a refund from the merchant directly. Should the merchant refund the transaction, it can take up to 10 business days for Cash App to receive the refund. Once received, Cash App Pay payments are refunded to the original payment source.
If you have any questions before 14 days have passed, please reach out directly to the merchant. If the refund does not appear within 14 days, please reach out to us.
