El Paso Electric Company (EE) has been acquired by the Infrastructure Investment Fund, a private investment vehicle advised by an infrastructure investment group within J.P. Morgan Investment Management Inc..

As part of this transaction, El Paso Electric Company ceased trading on the New York Stock Exchange as of market close July 29, 2020 and can no longer be bought or sold. The company announced shareholders will receive a cash payment of $68.25 per EE share held along with a dividend at a rate of $0.1937 per EE share held. Fractional shareholders will receive cash proportional to their holdings.
