You are not charged a conversion fee, or any other fees, to buy or sell Bitcoin through the Cash App.
Your exchange rate for buying and selling Bitcoin through the Cash App is calculated using the current market rate across the most popular U.S. exchanges, plus a spread determined by the size of your transaction and market volatility. The exchange rate may differ between transactions, and may also differ from exchange rates available to you from other buyers and sellers of Bitcoin.

When you purchase Bitcoin through Cash App, you are purchasing the current price of Bitcoin along with a spread of the price. Because of the spread, the quoted mid-market price displayed in the app is not necessarily the price you transact at when completing a trade.
We offer Bitcoin to you at a mid-market rate, which includes a margin, or spread. To explain what this means:
Mid-market rate is determined by looking at the current price of Bitcoin across multiple exchanges, while considering market volatility and other factors.
Spread is the difference between the current bid price and ask price of Bitcoin. The spread may be different when you buy Bitcoin through the Cash App, from when you sell Bitcoin through the Cash App.
The volatility of Bitcoin’s price in the market is another factor to consider. We can’t guarantee any price for Bitcoin, but you can monitor the price right from your Cash App. Just open your app, tap your Cash App balance and swipe left to access your Bitcoin drawer along with a historical chart of Bitcoin prices.
Please note that all Bitcoin sales are final.
