Bitkey is a self-custody bitcoin wallet, with three parts — a mobile app to make transactions easily on the phone, a hardware device to protect savings securely offline, and a set of recovery tools in case customers lose their phone or hardware, or both.

You can easily buy bitcoin using Cash App and transfer it to Bitkey. To get started, you’ll need both Cash App and the Bitkey App downloaded onto your device, and you’ll need to have an active Cash App account that has passed ID verification.

To start buying and transferring bitcoin:

1. Open the Bitkey app

2. Tap Add

3. Select Purchase

4. Enter an amount to buy

5. Select Cash App

6. Select a transfer speed in Cash App

7. Tap Buy and Transfer

8. Tap Open Bitkey

*If you want to transfer your bitcoin and forego purchasing, select Transfer.

Note: At this time, New York residents are currently unable to buy and transfer bitcoin from the Bitkey app, and sponsored accounts are unable to send funds to any Bitkey.
