Order Types

Cash App Investing offers several Order Types

Standard Order

Standard, no frills order placed during market hours. If you make a purchase or sale during market hours (typically Mon-Fri 9:30am - 4pm EST), the order is placed in the market as soon as possible, subject to DriveWealth's (our clearing broker-dealer) discretion to "work the order." For more information, see the "Trade Execution" section of DriveWealth's disclosures.

Market hours may vary depending on a number of factors.

Scheduled (After Hours Order)

Similar to a Standard Order but, because it is placed after market hours (typically Mon-Fri 9:30am - 4pm EST), it will be placed after the market opens on the next trading day. Keep in mind that stock prices may fluctuate after hours See the article below for more on how Scheduled Orders work.

Custom Order

Custom Orders allow you to select a price that will trigger a Standard Order for the purchase or sale of stock. Custom Purchase Orders can be used to buy stock if its price falls or to catch the wave if the price rises. Custom Sell Orders can be used to help limit losses if the price of a stock drops or to capture profits if it rises. Auto Invest

Standard Orders that are scheduled to occur on a daily, weekly or bi-weekly cadence. If you’re new to investing and don’t want to invest all at once, Auto Invest makes it easy to invest over time.

Investing Round Ups

After you enable Investing Round Ups, each time you use your Cash App CardCash card we will automatically round up to the nearest dollar and invest the spare change into a stock or ETF of your choice. Investing Round ups will be executed instantly during [market hours](https://cash.app/help/us/en-us/5006-stock-market-hours). During non-market hours we will aggregate the Round Ups into a large order to be placed when the market opens.
