Cash App Investing LLC is a SEC registered broker-dealer and a member of FINRA. This means that we are registered with FINRA and are required to comply with their brokerage rules and standards.
What happens when I open a Cash App Investing Account?
When you open a Cash App Investing account, you’re creating a brokerage account associated with Cash App Investing LLC. All stock and/or ETF purchases will be funded by your Cash App Balance or other linked payment instrument (in accordance with the Cash App terms of service). The stocks and/or ETFs you choose to purchase are held by Cash App Investing’s Carrying Broker, DriveWealth, LLC.

Are my securities SIPC protected?
Cash App Investing is a member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC). SIPC protects securities customers of its members up to $500,000 (including $250,000 for claims for cash). An explanatory brochure is available upon request or at www.sipc.org.
Are my Cash App Investing sale proceeds SIPC protected?
Cash App Investing does not hold your proceeds from the sale of stocks or ETFs. All funds in your investing account are automatically transferred to your Cash App Balance, which is not SIPC-protected.
Are my Cash App funds FDIC protected?
Your Cash App Balance funds may be eligible for FDIC insurance, see here for more details.
In the Cash App Investing Customer Account Agreement, you authorize and issue a standing instruction to Cash App Investing and the Carrying Broker to initiate transfers of funds out of your Cash App Investing Account into your Cash App Balance whenever there is a free credit balance. Your Cash App Balance is not Securities Investor Protection Corporation (“SIPC”) protected, but may be subject to other protections.
