You and your friend can both get bonuses when your friend uses your Cash App referral code to sign up for Cash App.

For both of you to claim your referral bonus, your friend must complete the below steps from your invite. If your friend is between ages 13-17, they will need a parent or guardian to sponsor them.

To each receive the bonus, your friend should:

1. Download Cash App and enter your referral code when they sign up.

2. Link a new debit card or bank account to their Cash App account, and keep a debit card or bank account linked until the referral bonus is paid. If you're within ages 13-17, you can also order and activate a Cash App Card (with a parent or guardian as your sponsor).

3. Send $5 within 14 days of using the referral code to a Cash App account that is not linked to them.

Please note: A sponsor and their sponsored account cannot receive a bonus for inviting each other.

If you’re rewarded a Cash App Card offer, your friend should:

1. Download Cash App and enter your referral code when they sign up.

2. Orders a Cash App Card and activate the physical card within 21 days of using the referral code

3. Add the Offer called either “$40 off a purchase” or “$20 off a purchase” depending on which Cash App Card Referral Bonus you are eligible for. For more information on how to add an Offer see: How to Add Offers to Your Cash App Card

4. You and your friend make a single purchase of $40 or $20 or more, depending on which referral bonus you are eligible for, with your Cash App Cards by June 8, 2025. Keep in mind, your Offer will expire if you do not make a single purchase of a qualifying amount with your Cash App Card by June 8 2025. This Offer may not be used in conjunction with any other Offer.
