Change your $Cashtag

A $cashtag is a unique identifier for individuals and businesses using Cash App.

To change your $cashtag:

1. Tap the profile icon on your Cash App home screen
2. Select Personal
3. Tap the $cashtag field
4. Choose a new $cashtag
5. Tap Set to confirm

To change it online:

1. Log into your Cash App account at cash.app/account
2. At the bottom of the left toolbar, click Account to open your settings
3. Under Basic Info, locate the $cashtag section
4. Click Edit, type in your new $cashtag, then click Save

$cashtags can only be changed twice. Prior versions become inactive so that they can’t be claimed by another customer. You can switch back to a previous $cashtag anytime.
