Using Cash App Afterpay at Online Checkout

What is Cash App Afterpay at online checkout?

Afterpay is now available within Cash App, allowing you to pay over time on purchases using only your Cash App account. This product is offered and managed through your Cash App account—no separate Afterpay account is needed. These purchases cannot be accessed or serviced through Afterpay. For any help, contact Cash App Support.

If you return your purchase and you’re waiting on a refund, we can push back your next payment for up to 14 days. You can only make this request once per purchase, and if your refund still hasn’t been processed by your next payment date both payments may be due on the same day.

How can I check the status of my refund?

Refunds need to be made by the merchant before we’re able to make any changes on our end. Reach out to the merchant to ask about the status of your refund before contacting Cash App support.

Where do Cash App repayments come from?

Funds for payment come from your Cash balance. If there are insufficient funds in your Cash balance, your linked debit card will instead fund the entire payment. A single payment cannot be split between the balance and linked instrument.  If your Cash balance doesn't cover the cost of the transaction and the debit card is declined, then the payment will be declined.
