You can get free overdraft coverage when you earn status with Cash App Green. Spend $500 with your Cash App Card or deposit $300 in paychecks each month to earn Green status.

Free overdraft coverage is available for up to $200. Your overdraft coverage amount depends on how much you direct deposit into Cash App, your activity, and other factors.

There are no fees to use free overdraft coverage.

If you have free overdraft coverage and spend more than you have in your Cash balance with your Cash App Card, the transactions can still go through, up to your coverage amount. After completing your transaction, money that you deposit or receive will be used to repay your overdraft balance.

If you don’t have free overdraft coverage and spend more than you have in your Cash balance, your transaction will be declined instead. We don’t charge overdraft fees.

Even if your Cash App Card is declined for insufficient funds, you can still use Cash App. If you use free overdraft coverage, money that you deposit or receive will be used to repay your overdraft balance.
