CashApp Bitcoin Day Official Terms

Offer provider: Block, Inc., formerly known as Square, Inc., 1955 Broadway Street, Suite 600, Oakland, California 94612 (“Cash App”). 

These terms (“Terms”) apply to Cash App’s ‘Cash App Bitcoin Bonus’ offer through which you (“you” or “Recipient”) may be one of the Recipients to each receive up to eighty dollars ($80) in bitcoin (“Promotional Payment”), subject to the Cash App Terms of Service and these Terms, including the Eligibility criteria below (the “Offer”). 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Complete one or all three of the below to receive the Promotional Payment. : 

    • Purchase $10+ of bitcoin to earn an additional $5 in bitcoin, or

    • Pay  a participating Square merchant with bitcoin using Cash App to earn an additional $25 in bitcoin (not available to New York customers); or 

    • Withdraw bitcoin to a Bitkeywallet to earn an additional $50 in bitcoin (not available to New York customers).

  • Eligible Promotional  Period: 

    • Beginning on  12:00am  ET April 6, 2026 and ending at  11:59pm ET April 10, 2026 (“Promotional Period”) or until we run out of the $1M in bitcoin we are giving away runs out. When the Promotional  Period ends, Cash App will discontinue this Offer with no further obligation to you.

  • Territory: The Offer is only available to Recipients and Square Sellers who are legal United States residents in the 50 United States and D.C. k. Bitcoin payments aren't available to Square sellers or Square seller locations in New York. Bitkey is not available for sale in New York.

  • Recipient age: Eighteen (18) years of age or older.

    • For clarity, Sponsored Accounts (as defined in the Cash App Terms of Service) are not eligible for this Offer.

  • You must have an “Eligible Cash App Account”. An “Eligible Cash App Account” means a Cash App Account that has successfully completed identity verification steps, is currently eligible to buy bitcoin, has a physical address and email address on file. To be an Eligible Cash App Account, the account must be in good standing, which means: The account does not have a negative balance; the account has not been suspended or restricted; the account remains open and active through the award date; the account has no unresolved B-Notices.   • Restrictions: You may not, nor may you permit any third party, directly or indirectly, to:

    • Harass, abuse, threaten, intimidate, or coerce any Square seller or seller representative in order to prompt, encourage, or incentivize acceptance of Bitcoin payments;

    • Engage in blackmail, extortion, or any form of unlawful coercion against any Square seller or individual associated with a Square seller location;

    • Make false, misleading, or defamatory statements about any Square seller or their business in connection with efforts to encourage Bitcoin payment acceptance;

    • Engage in any unlawful activity, including but not limited to fraud, forgery, or identity theft, in connection with this Offer;

    • Use this Offer as a vehicle to facilitate, encourage, or participate in any illegal activity or transaction; or

    • Violate any applicable federal, state, or local law in connection with your participation in this Offer.

Cash App will remit the Promotional Payments to Recipients who meet the Eligibility Criteria above (“Recipient Confirmation Period”) during the Eligible Purchase Period until April 10, 2026. Promotional Payments will appear in your bitcoin balance in the Cash App application.

Taxes: The value of this Promotional Payment may be considered taxable income and Recipients are solely responsible for reporting and paying any applicable federal, state and local taxes. You may be required to provide, at Cash App’s request, certain information to facilitate receipt of the Promotional Payment, including completing and submitting any tax or other forms (including but not limited to Form W-9), necessary for compliance with applicable withholding and reporting requirements. Under applicable law, Cash App may issue Form 1099 (or other appropriate form) that reflects the total value of the Promotional Payment. Cash App does not provide tax advice. Recipients should consult with their tax advisor regarding their personal circumstances and any tax consequences of accepting the Promotional Payment.  

Release: Recipients release and hold harmless Cash App, Square, and its parent (Block, Inc.), successors, affiliates, subsidiaries, trustees, and client financial institutions, and their respective parent companies, divisions, successors, affiliates, subsidiaries, trustees, and corporate partners, and each of their respective agents, representatives, officers, directors, members, managers, shareholders, contractors, and employees (collectively, the “Released Entities”) from any claims, actions, injury, loss, or damage of any kind, resulting, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the acceptance, possession, or use or misuse of a Promotional Payment. This limitation of liability is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to all damages of any kind, including (without limitation) compensatory, direct, indirect, or consequential damages; loss of data, income or profit; loss or damage to property; and claims of third parties. Recipients agree that Released Entities have not made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, statutory, express or implied (including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, title, and fitness for a particular purpose), in fact or in law, relative to the Promotional Payment.

The Released Entities are not responsible or liable to any Recipient or any person claiming through such Recipient for failure to supply the Promotional Payment or any part thereof in the event that Cash App’s operations or activities are affected, as determined by Cash App in its sole discretion, including, without limitation, by reason of any acts of God, any action, regulation, equipment failure, threatened terrorist acts, terrorist acts, air raid, blackout, act of public enemy, earthquake, war, fire, flood, epidemic, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any law, rule, regulation, order or other action adopted or taken by any governmental, federal, state or local government authority, or any other cause, whether or not specifically mentioned above.

No agency relationship: Recipients of this Offer are not agents, representatives, employees , or spokespersons of Block, Inc. Recipients have no authority to make statements, representations, warranties, or commitments on behalf of Block or to bind Block to any agreements or obligations. Any statements made by Recipients regarding Block's services, pricing, policies, or offerings are made solely in their individual capacity and do not reflect the views or commitments of Block.

Disputes; Governing Law. BY ACCEPTING THIS OFFER, YOU AGREE THAT TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: (1) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION THAT CANNOT BE RESOLVED BETWEEN YOU AND ANY RELEASED ENTITIES ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THE OFFER, OR ANY PROMOTION PAYMENT, WILL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION; (2) ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND AWARDS WILL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL THIRD-PARTY, OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED, (IF ANY), NOT TO EXCEED TEN DOLLARS ($10.00), BUT IN NO EVENT WILL ATTORNEYS’ FEES BE AWARDED OR RECOVERABLE; (3) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL YOU BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN ANY AWARD FOR, AND YOU HEREBY KNOWINGLY AND EXPRESSLY WAIVE ALL RIGHTS TO SEEK, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS AND/OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES, OTHER THAN ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES NOT TO EXCEED TEN DOLLARS ($10.00), AND/OR ANY RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED; AND (4) YOUR REMEDIES ARE LIMITED TO A CLAIM FOR MONEY DAMAGES (IF ANY) AND YOU IRREVOCABLY WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO SEEK INJUNCTIVE OR EQUITABLE RELIEF.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California without regard to its conflicts of laws rules. The parties irrevocably submit and consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in the City of Oakland and County of Alameda, California, or federal court for the Northern District of California. The parties agree not to raise the defense of forum non conveniens.

Miscellaneous; Notices. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the balance of these Terms will remain in full force and effect. Notices to Cash App must be in writing addressed to the attention of Block, Inc. at 1955 Broadway Street, Suite 600, Oakland, CA 94612, Attention: Legal.

Additional Information

Cash App reserves the right to cancel or modify this Offer at any time if you become ineligible for the Offer during the Eligible Purchase and Recipient Confirmation Periods. All inquiries regarding the promotion should be directed to Cash App.
