Cash App Partners with Azzi Fudd to Invest in the Next Generation of Dallas Athletes
Cash App’s two-year partnership with Azzi Fudd tipped off by investing in Dallas’ next generation of athletes with a community basketball clinic and a $35,000 donation to Dallas-based nonprofit Rae’s Hope
DALLAS, TX – June 3, 2026 – Cash App, a financial platform for everyday money moves, today announced a two-year partnership with the number one overall pick in the WNBA Draft and newly signed Dallas Wings star, Azzi Fudd, supporting her efforts to empower the next generation through community engagement, access to sports, and financial education.
Coming off the heels of the “People’s Princess”-themed campus activation at the University of Connecticut and a newly revealed mural in Dallas, Azzi and Cash App kicked off the celebrated shooting guard’s first season by embracing her youngest fans and community through a meaningful give-back effort.
On June 2, Cash App and Fudd hosted a youth basketball clinic for young athletes with Rae’s Hope, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls ages 5–18 through sports, education, and life-skills programming. During the event, Azzi surprised attendees with a special appearance, an interactive mini-camp, and a community equipment drop designed to uplift and inspire young athletes across Dallas.
“Giving back to young athletes and being present in my community has always been important to me,” said Azzi Fudd. “One of the things that stood out to me most about Cash App is how deeply they care about community impact and investing in the next generation. Being able to partner with them to create opportunities for young athletes here in Dallas made this moment even more special, and I’m excited for what we’ll continue building together.”

Cash App also donated $35,000 to Rae’s Hope to support the organization’s mission and expand opportunities for local youth. Every participating child in the youth basketball clinic will also receive a $100 deposit directly into their Cash App account as part of the financial platform’s mission to introduce young people to the importance of saving and building healthy financial habits early.
“We’re proud to partner with Azzi as she begins this exciting new chapter in Dallas and continues using her platform to make a real impact in the community,” said Zack Ashley, Global Head of Brand Partnerships at Block. “At Cash App, we believe access and opportunity go beyond the game itself, and this partnership reflects our commitment to supporting the next generation both on and off the court.”
As Azzi begins this major new chapter in her basketball career, the event marked one of her first community engagements in Dallas and reflected how she plans to use her platform, alongside her partnership with Cash App, to create meaningful impact beyond basketball.
“Rae’s Hope is committed to creating opportunities that help young girls build confidence, leadership skills, and a strong sense of community,” said Angela Fields, founder of Rae’s Hope. “Partnering with Cash App and Azzi to bring this experience to life allowed us to combine sports, mentorship, and financial education in a meaningful way for the girls we serve.”
And this is only the beginning. Later this fall, Azzi and Cash App will continue their Dallas community efforts with the opening of a new public basketball court for local families and athletes.
Cash App’s Continued Commitment to Women’s Sports
This activation builds on Cash App’s broader investment in women’s sports and athlete-led community initiatives that create tangible impact for fans and local communities alike.
In October 2024, Cash App partnered with WNBA All-Star Angel Reese to support women’s sports through initiatives including “The Angel Machine,” an interactive game in Chicago, the renovation of a community basketball court, and limited-edition Cash App Card designs.
In May 2025, Cash App became the Official Financial Services Partner of the Atlanta Dream, the largest deal in the team’s history, featuring jersey sponsorship, community basketball camps integrating STEM education, and fan engagement programs. The following August, Cash App, the Atlanta Dream, and nonprofit ForgiveCo partnered to forgive $10 million in debt for more than 3,500 Atlanta residents.
Additionally, in October 2025, Cash App served as the official payments sponsor for Athlos NYC, a women-only track and field competition, introducing immediate prize payments for athletes and a $250,000 bonus for any athlete who broke a world record.
