Savings: To earn the highest interest rate on your Cash App savings balance, you need to (a) have a Cash App Card, or sponsor one or more sponsored accounts, and qualify for Cash App Green or (b) have a sponsored account with sponsor approval. Customers can qualify for Cash App Green by spending $500 in Qualifying Purchases using your Cash App Card or Cash App Pay per month, or by depositing $300 in Qualifying Deposits per month. If you are signed up to earn interest, Cash App will pass through a portion of the interest paid on your savings balance held in an account for the benefit of Cash App customers at Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Member FDIC. Exceptions may apply. Savings yield rate is subject to change.

Overdraft coverage: Free overdraft coverage of up to $200 for Cash App Card transactions when you deposit at least $300 monthly of Qualifying Deposits into Cash App or spend $500 or more in Qualifying Purchases in a calendar month.Eligibility requirements apply, see terms for details.. 

FDIC insurance: With a Cash App Card or a Sponsored Account, your balance is eligible for FDIC pass-through insurance through Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Sutton Bank, and/or The Bancorp Bank, N.A., Members FDIC, for up to $250,000 per customer when aggregated with all other deposits held in the same legal capacity at each bank, if certain conditions are met. Referrals and Discount Promotions: 

The following excerpt is from the Cash App Terms of Service. Any defined terms used in the following excerpt and not otherwise defined on this page shall have the same meanings as provided in the Terms of Service: From time to time, we may offer referral programs or incentives for inviting others to use the Service (a “Referral Program”). Any bonuses or incentives under such Referral Program shall be subject to the then current Referral Program terms, if applicable, and otherwise at our sole discretion.

For you to claim your referral bonus, you must be new to Cash App and complete the below steps. If you are between ages 13-17, you will need a parent or guardian to sponsor you.

To each receive the bonus, you should:

  • Download Cash App and enter the unique referral code you received from your favorite creator.  Referral Codes are one time use.

  • Link a new debit card or bank account to your Cash App account, and keep a debit card or bank account linked until the referral bonus is paid. If you're within ages 13-17, you can also order and activate a Cash App Card (with a parent or guardian as your sponsor).

  • Send $5 within 14 days of using the referral code to a Cash App account that is not linked to you. Please note: A sponsor and their sponsored account cannot receive a bonus for inviting each other.
