Building on their ongoing partnership, Cash App and Dallas Wings star Azzi Fudd opened a newly renovated community basketball court at Casa Linda Park, creating a new space for the local community to come together, connect, and play.
DALLAS, TX – October 30, 2026 – Cash App, and Dallas Wings star Azzi Fudd yesterday unveiled a newly renovated basketball court at Casa Linda Park in Dallas, marking the latest milestone in their ongoing partnership to empower the next generation of female athletes by investing in the communities that have shaped Fudd’s basketball career.
Brought to life with support from Project Backboard, a 501(c)(3) organization, the renovated space is designed to provide young athletes with a place to build confidence, develop their skills, and connect with their community through basketball. Inspired by Azzi's reputation as the “People's Princess,” the court is designed to create a welcoming space where the next generation of athletes can dream big. Azzi wanted to give Dallas its flowers as a way to express her gratitude to the city that welcomed her with open arms, a sentiment that inspired the court's design.

To celebrate the unveiling, Cash App and Fudd welcomed young athletes from across Dallas to be the first to experience the newly renovated court. The event featured a special appearance from Azzi, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and remarks from Dallas Park and Recreation representatives, including Director John Jenkins and Park Board Member Pete Jung. Local attendees spent the evening shooting hoops, playing games alongside Azzi, and enjoying sweet treats.
“Giving back to the Dallas community and creating opportunities for the next generation of athletes means so much to me,” said Azzi Fudd. “By partnering with Cash App, we've been able to make a real impact beyond basketball. I look forward to it becoming a place where young athletes can build friendships, have fun, and feel empowered to chase their dreams.”
The court renovation builds on Cash App and Fudd's ongoing partnership, which began earlier this year with an activation at Fudd's alma mater, the University of Connecticut. In June, Cash App and Fudd hosted a youth basketball clinic with local nonprofit Rae's Hope, surprising young athletes with an interactive basketball experience and donating $35,000 to support the organization's mission of empowering girls through sports, education and life-skills programming.
“At Cash App, we're committed to making an impact that extends beyond the court,” said Erin Archuleta, Head of Global External Affairs and Social Responsibility at Block. “From revitalizing community spaces to expanding access to resources, opportunities and financial education for young athletes, we're focused on making a lasting difference for the next generation and the communities that support them.”
